How to connect a domain to Wix

If you're creating a website on Wix, you can connect your domain registered with Unihost.kz to it. We recommend using Unihost.kz name servers—this will give you full control over DNS records and simplify connecting additional services, such as corporate email.

Step 1: Specify your domain in Wix settings

• Log in to Wix and open your site settings.
• Go to Control Panel → Settings → Domain Connection
• Select Use your own domain
• Enter the domain (for example, example.kz ) and confirm
• Wix will display the IP address to connect to (e.g. 185.230.63.107)

Step 2: Install Unihost.kz name servers

To manage records via Unihost.kz DNS hosting, the domain must have the following NS servers installed:

• ns1.unihost.kz
• ns2.unihost.kz

Step 3: Configure A records in DNS

• Log in to your account: my.unihost.kz
• Go to Products/Services → DNS Hosting
• Click on the active service and the Go
• Open Domain Names and add your domain if it hasn't been added yet.
• Select the domain, click Records
• Delete old A-records (if any) and create new ones:

Check your IP address in your Wix dashboard - in some cases, a different IP is used.

Step 4: Wait for DNS records to apply

DNS changes take effect immediately, but may take anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours to propagate, depending on your provider.

Step 5: Check your connection in Wix

• Return to your Wix domain settings
• Click Test Connection
• After successful setup, you will see a confirmation
